New Year's

We awoke New Year's Eve to a blanket of snow - the good sticky kind :) My children were anxious to take advantage of this bounty and headed out as soon as breakfast was over!! Here is Craig posing with Frosty and Mrs. Frosty!!
Andi enjoyed building snowmen so much that even when the bigger kids were done, she continued rolling snow! Again, this is evidence of her ability to stick with a project long term!! She made two additional "snowmen."
As for New Year's Eve festivities - Riley was an amazing big sister/cousin and hosted the "kid" party at our house. They all claimed to have a great deal of fun - thank you Riley. When Scott and I got home at 1:30 am - every single kid was still awake!!! Scott and I attended the "adult" party - adult here being a very subjective term. We all behaved a bit like juveniles :) Meighan hosted and we played games, ate way too much, and laughed a lot!! It was a wonderful way to bring in the New Year!
This is what our snowmen looked like the next morning. This was a very good representation of what the entire Hope family looked like as well. After not getting to bed until about 2 am - every Hope in the house was a bit worse for wear :)!! We all wore our pajamas all day, played games, watched movies, and tried to nurse our digestive tracks back to health. Happy New Year!!!
Unfortunately, our snowmen did not make a full recovery - as of yesterday, their remains were kicked all over our yard in final memory! Thank you for making my children so happy!

  1. Sounds like you really know how to celebrate! Good job! I usually ring in the New Year by snoring. I married a man who thinks New Year's is the dumbest holiday ever, so, not much fun there. Sigh. :)
